The Story Behind the Artists

Adam Shea and Sophia Green are Alaskan artists currently living in the city of Anchorage. Adam Shea, with his roots in Boston, made the decision to relocate to Alaska after completing his BFA from the Art Institute of Boston. Sophie Green is a life-long Alaskan, having grown up in Anchorage. Sophie and Adam started out on their path by showcasing their artwork at various Alaskan festivals such as Forest Fair, Sacred Acre, Salmonfest, and the Alaska State Fair. These days, in addition to the local festival circuit, their creations can be found in local Alaskan galleries such as Stephan Fine Arts, Dos Manos Gallery, The Dancing Leaf Gallery, as well as the Anchorage Museum and various shops from Homer to Denali. By combining their years of experience in the world of fine art, they have crafted a unique blend of visionary art combined with timeless themes inspired by the surrounding Alaskan wilderness.
